ENGINEERED YARNS. Our broad portfolio of engineered yarns is used in a wide range of applications. Most of our technical yarns are customized to meet the requirements of certain downstream processes and end uses. Textile yarns are often used as reinforcement materials in rubber products like mechanical rubber goods (MRG).
The textile industry has a long history and there are various units in use. Tex is more likely to be used in Canada and Continental Europe, while denier remains more common in the United States. tex: Grams per 1,000 metres of yarn. Tex is a direct measure of linear density. den (denier): Grams per 9,000 metres of yarn.
The most important of these is decitex (short: dtex). The dtex number indicates how many grams a sewing thread of 10,000 m length weighs. Example: 150 dtex means: 10,000 m of the thread weigh 150 g. It therefore applies: Examples: 1 tex = 10 dtex 17 tex = 170 dtex. 1 dtex = 0,1 tex 150 dtex = 15 tex. For the numbering of sewing threads, the tex ...

Millimeters of mercury are used as units for blood pressure measurements, even in countries like the USA and the UK, where inches are used for measuring length. Digital blood pressure meter or sphygmomanometer. A Pythagorean cup is an interesting device, which uses the principles of hydrostatic pressure. According to legend, it was designed by ...
The Metric Count, Cotton Count and Denier Systems use ticket numbering system to give an easy approximation of the specific size of the finished thread. A ticket number in one type of thread will not be the same as in another. For example, Ticket 40 Cotton is not the same as Ticket 40 Corespun. Ticket numbers resemble the fixed weight system.
(1.6), we calculate the diameter of a polyester micro-fiber of 0.7 dtex fineness is d = 0.0081 mm, the diameter of a cotton fiber of 1.7 dtex fineness is d = 0.0119 mm, the diameter of a wool fiber of 3.5 dtex fineness is d = 0.0184 mm, and the diameter of a polyester fiber of 7 dtex fineness is d = 0.0256 mm.
Also, our Fluid Handle and microfibre systems from Decitex are so effective that we are able to clean floors and surfaces with almost no chemicals. 67 decitex and having a fiber length each measuring 20 mm or more but not over 150 mm; (provided for in subheading 5504.
Dtex is short for Decitex, which is the unit of measure for grass fiber. Dtex represents grams per 10,000 meters of grass yarn. Dtex is the count grading for filament and spinning yarns recognized by all international bodies in the man-made fibers industry. Dtex is one of the major factors affecting the face weight of synthetic grass.

Denier is a unit of measurement used to determine the fiber thickness of individual threads or filaments used in the creation of textiles and fabrics. Fabrics with a high denier count tend to be thick, sturdy, and durable. Fabrics with a low denier count tend to be sheer, soft, and silky. In terms of fills, to be considered a "microfiber ...

Actually to convert microns to denier it is not a linear relationship and also depends on the density of the fiber material. Divide the microns by 11.89 then square the result and then multiply by the density of the fiber material. eg. a 100 micron polyester fiber would be 100 / 11.89 = 8.4104, squared = 70.73 x by 1.4 = ~99 denier.
